Dua for pain relief

Reading Dua for pain relief on oil or water is one of the spiritual matters that many people resort to.
It lies in reading on the water and then drinking it entirely or taking a bath with it,
As for oil by anointing the body or applying the place of pain.

Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen, may God have mercy on him, said, “The Holy Qur’an is written in a vessel and water is poured over it, then it is circulated, and the person drinks it.

This is what the predecessors, may God have mercy on them, did, as they might write in a bowl of saffron the verse of the chair, al-Mu’awwidhat and something from the Qur’an,
then pour water on it, and spread it like this by hand or by moving the vessel.” Then a person drinks it, for this is what the predecessors did, and it is tried by people and is beneficial.

The legal ruqyah that God Almighty has made is one of God Almighty’s most important reasons for healing. Therefore it has been mentioned in many religious hadiths, and there are many hadiths explaining how to legal ruqyah.

The Holy Prophet recommended how to read the legal ruqyah as follows:

The best thing that can be cured is the Book of Allah God Almighty, and the Prophet,
may God’s prayers and peace be upon him,
instructed us to recite Al-Ma’widhatayn and Al-Fatihah for the sick,
even if the entire Qur’an is a cure, as God Almighty said: And We send down from the Qur’an that which is healing [Al-Isra: 82].

A prayer of the sunnah

However, these surahs have helped a lot in achieving the goal. As for the supplications from the Sunnah, there are many of them:

  • His saying, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him: Take away the harm, Lord of people, and heal,
you are the healer, there is no cure but your cure, a cure that does not leave disease, narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim.
  • Including His saying, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him,
to Othman bin Abi Al-Aas when he complained of pain that he finds in his body.
He, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said to him:
  • “Put your hand on the part of your body that hurts and say: In the name of God three times…
    and say seven times:
I seek refuge in God and His Power from the evil of what I find and beware.”.

  • And what Abu Dawud narrated on the authority of Abu al Darda who said:
I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say:
Whoever among you complains about something, or his brother complains about it, let him say:
    Our Lord is God who is in heaven, sanctify your name. Forgive us our faults and our sins;
you are the Lord of the good, send down mercy from Your mercy and a cure from Your healing on this pain, and it will be healed.
