The virtue of Tarawih prayer, in general, is from God – Glory is to Him – to His servants in the month of Ramadan. It is equivalent to standing in prayer for the night). It is appropriate for a Muslim to strive to perform the nights of Ramadan in congregation behind the imam and to complete the prayer with the imam until the last rak’ah
as this necessitates obtaining the reward of performing a whole night’s blessing
even if he prays a little of the night alone, One of the virtues of this prayer is that it is a reason for forgiveness of the sins of the servant. The Prophet – may God’s blessings
and peace be upon him – said: (Whoever prays Ramadan in faith and anticipation, his previous sins will be forgiven)
Tarawih prayer
The virtue of Tarawih prayers in the last ten days of Ramadan The integrity of worship is more specific in the previous ten days of Ramadan.
A Muslim should strive in the previous ten days by performing acts of prayer
and praying the night prayer and in these nights a night is better than a thousand months.
It is Laylat al-Qadr, so a Muslim should adhere to the Tarawih prayer
which is part of the night prayers in the last ten days of Ramadan.
A request for mercy and forgiveness from God – the Highest -;
The Prophet – may God’s prayers And upon him, be peace, when the ten days came
he tightened his loins, and he came to life at night and woke his family.
In their view, however, they consider that the Sunnah prayers that follow the obligatory prayers are better than the Tarawih prayer. May God’s blessings and peace be upon him – was persevering in it, and he did not persist in tarawih prayer.
The ruling of Tarawih prayer
As for the Hanbalis, they believe that the best voluntary prayers are prescribed in the congregation. Because it is similar to that of the obligatory duties, and the regular Sunnahs come after them in virtue, and some other supererogatory prayers have been preferred over them, such as the two Eid prayers, the eclipse prayers, and the eclipse prayers; Because the Prophet – may God’s blessings and peace be upon him – was keen on praying it and kept doing it, while he only prayed Tarawih three times. Guide of tarawih prayer
On the authority of Aisha, may God Almighty be pleased with her: “The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, went out one night from the dead of the night and prayed in the mosque
and men prayed with his prayer.
Then the people spoke, and more of them gathered, and they prayed with him. the people said, and the mosque people increased from the third night.
Then the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, went out and prayed with his prayer, and when it was the fourth night, the mosque was unable to accommodate its people until he went out to pray the morning prayer.
Tarawih prayer is a confirmed Sunnah
Abu Huraira, may God be pleased with him, said:
“The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him
wanted to pray in Ramadan without ordering them to perform it with determination.
On the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her:
“The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, prayed in the mosque one night and people prayed with his prayer, then he prayed from the midwife. In the morning
he said: I have seen what you have done, and nothing prevented me from going out to you except
that I was afraid it would be imposed on you.
He narrated the consensus on its Sunnah (Al-Nawawi and Al-Sanani).
The ruling on Tarawih prayers in the mosque: The Sunnah in Tarawih is that it be performed in congregation in mosques, which is what the majority of jurists (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi’i, and Hanbali) held.
Evidence:
On the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her: “The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, prayed in the mosque one night, and people prayed with his prayer.
He said: I have seen what you have done, and it did not prevent me from going out to you except that I was afraid that it would be imposed on you – he said – and that in Ramadan” (Bukhari and Muslim).
Indication:
The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, prayed Tarawih prayers in congregation
and nothing prevented him from continuing with the community except for his fear that it would be imposed on the nation.
This means that doing it in congregation is Sunnah.
On the authority of Abd al-Rahman ibn Abd al-Qari, who said:
“I went out with Umar ibn al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, one night in Ramadan to the mosque
and when the people were divided, the man prayed for himself, and the man prayed with his prayer
so Omar, may God be pleased with him, said: I see if you gathered these on a reciter.
One would have been better, then he resolved and picked them to Ubayy bin Ka’b
then I went out with him another night, and the people were praying the prayer of their reciter.
Omar said:
Yes, this is the heresy, and the one about which they sleep is better – he wants the end of the night and people used to get up at the beginning of it – (Bukhari narrated it).
