It is one of the most critical steps of the method of prayer in detail and arrangement to start with the right foot, with the necessity of washing between the toes.
- After completing ablution, you can say,
“I bear witness that there is no god but God, alone, without a partner, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, O God, make me of those who repent and make me of those who purify themselves.”
When should you perform the wudu steps?
- Prayer: You must perform wudu in prayer, whether it is obligatory or from the Sunnah.
The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, “Prayer is not accepted without wudu.”
- Before reading the Qur’an: You must perform wudu before touching the Qur’an and reading the Qur’an.
A person must be pure, and the jurists have agreed that ablution is required before touching the Qur’an
and God Almighty said in Surat Al-Waqi’ah, verse 79, “No one touches it except those who are purified.”
- Circumambulation of the Kaaba: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him
considered circumambulation like prayer, but the difference between them is that it is possible to talk during the circumambulation, and this means that wudu must be performed before the circumambulation as well.
Rule of wudu
The rule of wudu is divided into obligatory and desirable in terms of the necessity of worship
or its desirability; there are obligatory acts of worship that are obligatory for purity,
and others desirable for it to be desirable for purity as well,
so wudu is obligatory when performing duties and obligations such as obligatory prayer and circumambulation.
